Illustrating True Stories and Fish Printing Workshop for grades 4-6

Author/Illustrator Claudia McGehee will share some background stories about illustrating non-fiction children’s books, followed by art activities created around her most recent picture book Creekfinding, a True Story.  Attendees will experience Gyotaku, or fish printing, an ancient Japanese art developed centuries ago. There will also be a chance to try out scratchboard (Claudia’s main art medium).
