Congratulations to One Book Two Book on Ten Years of Celebrating Books!

Katy Herbold, owner of Sidekick Coffee & Books, is a longtime attendee and supporter of the One Book Two Book Children’s Literature Festival. This year, to honor our 10th anniversary, Sidekick has generously pledged to donate 10% of their sales over the festival weekend (Feb. 27-28) to the City of Literature to help support One Book Two Book!

We asked Katy to tell us about her experiences coming to One Book Two Book, and what the festival means to her and her family.

From the first time I brought my family to the the One Book Two Book Festival, I knew it was wonderful, important, and an inspiring event. Only one of my three children had been born at that time, and he was captivated by the books, the atmosphere, and the readers. Over the years, the festival has continued to build on the joys and experiences that come from books, and the toddler who first attended the event now comes with his two younger brothers, and they have all enjoyed the train room, larger than life characters, a new book (or three), virtual reality and so much more. However, the favorite part for all of us continues to be taking part in the story time sessions hosted by local authors, storytellers, and book lovers, on stage.  There is nothing like being with so many others who love books, and the adventure and opportunities that come along with books, as much you do–it is a special kind of magic.  Thank you for creating this wonderful festival, and congratulations on your 10th year!

We’re thrilled to have Sidekick’s support! During the COVID 19 pandemic Sidekick remains committed to keeping  customers and staff safe.  Be sure to visit their website and follow this link for online ordering:
